VOLUNTEER or join something

Here are some initiatives already running or that we are working on or would like volunteers/supporters/community feedback for. If you can volunteer, have skills, support or just interest and attendance to offer, get in touch.

CURRENT projects to join…

Community garden: Needing volunteers to be a compost kaitiaki and to form a garden committee to help with compost, gardening, to plan gardening bees and to meet quarterly to discuss the direction of the garden, sign-painting for garden labels and some small murals/designs on the compost bins.

Help prepare food at our community lunches or cultural celebration events e.g. Whataitai Sunday lunches that take place on the last Sunday of each month - we are needing a cook and coordinator to do meal-planning and on the day cooking.

initiatives ready to start once enough people sign up…

A-typical, neurodivergent group: Register your interest for this casual drop-in group where neurodivergents can meet, mingle, relax and support each other. Natalie, also neurodivergent, will be facilitating these informal sessions. Register by emailing: nataliecgraver@gmail.com.
