All are welcome to our weekly gardening bees where you can help out in the community garden. Coffee/tea and biscuits are provided. Bring tools if you have them.
We have a small community garden, 10 fruit trees planted in July 2019 and a big compost bay - feel free to add your food scraps to it. We have just put in flash bed framing for our herb garden at the front and some out back too. Current plans are to put in some strawberry plants on a raised bed in the corner (pictured). We also want to put up signage and paint our compost bay.
This is a community garden so community are welcome to harvest but we’d appreciate some give back too. So come along to our gardening bees on Thursdays or just help out in your own time. We also have one-off bees at other times, follow our Facebook for udpates (see bottom of page). Please be mindful when harvesting, leave some for others and enough so the plant can regenerate.
We’re always looking for seeds and seedlings.
